Prayer Request (and Music Monday)

Today's Music Monday is coming to you a little differently then normally.  Usually it is something that I've recently sung in church or heard on the radio, but today it is coming via a friend of mine who needs pray. 

My friend Claire gave birth to a beautiful little boy on Thursday, and due to some breathing complications her little boy has been in the NICU since a few hours after his birth.  She posted that THIS song is one she keeps playing and is using it to help her through this trial.

Would you listen to this song, and then remember this wonderful Christian family in your prayers?  Pray for his lungs, but also pray for Claire and her husband as they stand by.

Music Monday

We have been doing an AMAZING study in Church since September. It is called "The Story" and it takes you through the Bible in 31 chapters. My love for the Bible has been completely renewed and through this book, my eyes are being re-opened to the amazing Bible stories that I learned when I was young...yet had forgotten in my "teen/adult" years.

A few weeks ago, we learned about the story of Queen Esther. Oh what a book....I have since completed a mini-study on this book in my daily devotions, and I've got to admit...it might be my favorite book. The story reminds me that often God has me in a certain situation/location "for such a time as this."(Esther 4:14) And that ONLY HE can see the big picture in my life.

One of the things that took place during the service was the watching of a music video. Gotta admit, I've watched it many many times, for a few reasons. 1. The song is very VERY catchy. 2. The version I watch, takes you through the story of Esther.

Music Monday

So, yesterday I went to see the movie The Vow, and can I say it was OhMyGoodness Good!!!  What a great story-line....I can't wait to see it again :)  (And lets just say, Rachel McAdam & Channing Tatum were amazing....wow!)

Well, I got home and began doing some research on this movie and it is based on a real-life couple.  That makes me happy, yet sad...to know that this movie was someone's real-life.  But enough of the sad stuff...I found a new song that I am so in love with (I've listened to it several times already!)

SO...Music Monday this week is called "We Are" by Joy Williams.  Hope you fall in love with it as much as I have :)

I KNOW...I've been bad.  It has been FOREVER since I've done a music Monday, and today's posting almost didn't get posted!  (Lets just say, my computer was already off for the night when I remembered I hadn't posted yet)

So...without further adieu.  Today's song is "Hosanna" performed by Hillsong.  We sing this song at church, and sang it yesterday and MAN...the lyrics are so incredibly powerful.  It is definitely one of my current favorite songs!  May it bless you like it blesses me :)

Took me long enough....

Ok....so it won't come as a surprise to most, that one of my favorite TV shows is The Biggest Loser. I look forward to Tuesday evenings, when it comes on :)

This year, the theme-song has captivated me, each and every time it plays. It has a really catchy tune, and I LOVE it...

WELL...it only took me 12 weeks of listening to it, to finally GOOGLE it, lol. And I finally figured out the song, so enjoy :)

Christmas MUSIC!!!

So, I've gotta admit...I've been listening to Christmas music for WEEKS!!! Most years, I'm still fighting it in early/mid December, but for some reason, I got bit by the Christmas bug early :)

I just heard "Joy to the World"!! They burst into that song as they lit the tree in Rockefeller Center, and I got the biggest smile on my face!

BECAUSE, as much as I LOVE CHRISTMAS, I needed the reminder of the REAL reason for CHRISTmas. With out Jesus Christ, there would be no holiday celebration. No special gift given to us that day by God himself, so that we may one day enter into His holy place!

Oh how I love the Christmas Carols...

Ok...so for "Music Monday" today I've decided to feature a song by Bebo Norman.  It's called...'Here Goes'.  This song really reminds me to "let go, and let God" have control over each and every situation I face in my life. 

Now...for the cool part of this.  While I was looking on Youtube for which video I wanted to use, I found that someone uploaded him singing AT MY CHURCH!  It isn't the whole song, thus the reason for the second, complete video.  But how cool is it that someone videoed it and posted it?!?  (I'm pretty stoked, if ya can't tell :})   (Sorry for the non-Bebo people singing in the background)





So yes...Bebo came and sang at Obi last fall.  Talk about an amazing Christ-centered concert.  It really felt more like a worship concert, to tell you the truth.  While I was a Bebo lover before this concert, needless to say, now I really love his music!

Well...gotta admit, my "Music Monday" song is not the song I planned on sharing with you. I heard the "it" song on my way home from work today, and had to look it up on the radio's website to get the title. WELL...needless to say, this was the song BEFORE the one I was going to do. I didn't recognize the title, but love the singer, so after youtubing it, I have found a new favorite song! ENJOY!!!

Here friends...is one of the most compelling songs on the Christian Radio Stations currently (in my eyes). This song, sung by Britt Nicole, truly talks about "Letting go, and Letting God" in WHATEVER the situation you may currently be facing. (I know it speaks wonders to me right now...) Enjoy, and may God be with you through whatever you are dealing with today.
